Inspite of the variety of color sense that has glorified the Jordan shoes, Black is one such independent shade that has not lost its relevance. The controversies shrouding the selection of black later got glorified in the retro models when they were reinvented. The First design in the basketball history was when the black/red model was introduced for the NBA which had black laces, colorways and tongue ups, got banned for not adhering to NBA color rules.

The Air Jordan II series was the surprise in the history of Jordans not coming out with a black version though the plans went in full swing for bringing out one. Anyway the series 2 have been retroed recently with black leather, and white red/black combinations. Apart from the black beauty the 2010 version had the world’s first see through in the shoe featuring an exclusive thermoplastic urethane (TPU) window.

The Jordan 13 version in 1997/1998 has also impressive designs, and best seller is the Jordan 13 black which had combination of green, black and white.

The preference to is quite natural owing to reason that the black is colorless and further adds more sparkle to other colors when it is nearby. With retro versions of more and more black jordan shoes in rotation, prudently speaking one can never have better choices.
